Shenzhen | China's MIRACLE City | China 4K | 中国奇迹城市 | 深圳 4K Shenzhen, a miracle that began in 1980 Forty years after its establishment as China's first special economic zone, Shenzhen has emerged as a symbol of the country's reform and opening-up. It has transformed from a fishing village to a sprawling industrial and financial megacity. Widely dubbed as a "miracle," this coastal city next to Hong Kong not only boasts strong manufacturing capacity and leading innovation, it represents China's efforts in the past several decades to pursue development from scratch. Before China started opening up its doors to foreign investment and transferring its planned economy toward a market economy starting 1978, Shenzhen was a small village with only 330,000 residents. Guangdong Province is one of China's richest regions now, but back in 1978, with agriculture as main industry, Guangdong's GDP per capita was only 370 yuan (53.6 U.S. dollars at today's exchange rate), lower than the country's average 156 U.S. dollars in that year, according to data from the Shenzhen government and the World Bank. In the same year, the GDP per capita in Hong Kong was 3,924 U.S. dollars. The early years of growth were not easy after the People's Republic of China was founded in 1949 from the ruins of the World War II and a civil war with Kuomintang. It stumbled through famine and an unsuccessful "Great Leap Forward," and then a decade of devastating Cultural Revolution (1966-76). The country was mainly a planned economy similar to that of the Soviet Union. There was little business contact with the West. And the average living standard was far behind the developed world in the 1970s. With the huge economic gap, many local inhabitants flooded to Hong Kong as illegal immigrants, to pursue better income. Official records show that about 150,000 Guangdong Province inhabitants left their hometown to Hong Kong before the reform and opening-up. The city of “miracle”. Fong’s story of rags to wealth, now threatened by a wider slowdown exacerbated by the coronavirus, reflects the history of his host city. Established in 1979 during China’s first wave of economic reforms that allowed private enterprise to play a role in a state-controlled system, Shenzhen has evolved from a collection of agricultural villages into a major global port home to some of China’s leading technologies. , finance, real estate and manufacturing companies. Over the past four decades, the city has seen economic growth of at least 20% per year. In October, the forecasting company, Oxford Economics, predicted that Shenzhen would become the fastest growing city in the world between 2020 and 2022. But she has since lost that San Jose crown to Silicon Valley in California. Shenzhen recorded overall economic growth of just 2% in the first quarter of this year, the lowest figure for the city, except for the first quarter of 2020, when coronavirus infections brought the country to a standstill. Shenzhen remains the largest exporter of goods in China, but its overseas shipments fell nearly 14% in March, preventing a COVID blockade that caused bottlenecks in its port. Shenzhen Talent Park is one of the better parks in the city, a high accolade in what is a ‘city of parks.’ Nestled away in a bustling area of Nanshan, this whole area has sprung up into a must visit place that offers both a quiet escape from the city, a picturesque walk, and a fine dining experience, a real Shenzhen place. Shenzhen Talent Park was built as a testament to the dynamic and cutting-edge nature of the city it resides in, and walking around this park you definitely get a feel for that. As with most parks in Shenzhen, it is immaculately clean and pristine green, with great facilities in place to cater for every need. Commonly used for jogging in the early morning or late evening, this park has a running track that stretches from one side to the other, but be careful as sometimes these runners will blow past you at quite a speed. At any point during the day you will always find families strolling around, people having photo shoots, or office workers getting a breath of air after a long day. What sets this park apart from others is the great architecture that can be found around it, such as the iconic Shenzhen Bay Stadium, or the famous ‘Bamboo Building’ that link in with the theme of talent and the fast-growing modern feel of Shenzhen. Dotted around the park there are statues of various iconic figures from history such as Beethoven and Einstein, another nod to the ‘talent’ theme. On a clear blue-sky day these look sublime and extremely photogenic. This park transforms at night too, with the nature of modern buildings in Shenzhen, they are designed with night time illumination in mind. With a kaleidoscope of colours on offer this is an absolute feast for the eyes. The Nanshan light show is also here, at 7.30, 8.30 & 9.30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. An excuse is not really needed to visit this great place, but if you did need one, then the light show provides it. The best location for the night view is from the bridge that stretches over the water. A short walk from the mall is Shenzhen Bay Mixc Mall, this is another of Shenzhen’s modern mega malls and it has great food and drink options for before or after the park. With many bars, restaurants and cafes you can rest and relax here and make a day of the experience. The project is located in Houhai Area, Nanshan, Shenzhen. It is adjacent to Shahe West Road in the east, Keyuan Avenue and Dengliang Road in the west, Haide 3rd Road in the north and Dongbin Road in the south. The park covers an area of 77 hectares, including 31 hectares of lake. The park is the first park in China with the theme of awarding and motivating talents. The talent element of modern art is an important space characteristic of the park. The lake's water source comes from the outer sea and the city center river. Its daily housing capacity is about 600,000 cubic meters. By arranging different plants for freshwater wetlands, rain gardens and seawater wetlands a beautiful scenery is formed, which also optimizes the water environment habitat. The flexible vertical design ensures the adaptability of the park to rainwater management in extreme weather conditions. The different scales of space around the waterfront provide a variety of relationship experiences between people and water, realizing people's natural intimacy with water. The park also functions as a theater of time and city life, hosting various acts every day. A variety of lakeside facilities have become the best place for local citizens to get a close touch with nature, including book bar, exhibition hall, a 2.7-kilometer-long blue jogging track, high-standard shower room, well-designed children's playground, the hydrophilic rocky beach and open lawn. Meanwhile, the park has also provided a good habitat for all kinds of birds. The scattered sandstone beach group on the lake is home to one stopover for migratory birds like pipers on their routes of twice-a-year migration. Bird piles in the lake together with a wide variety of flowering-like plants are also efforts to build a good biological habitat. 0:00 Intro 0:59 Walking In Shenzhen Talent Park 19:19 Shenzhen Bay Sports Center 36:19 Shopping Area Around The Bamboo Tower 53:16 The underground mall ★★ Guys, I'm looking forward to know what you get from the video.★★ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. #Shenzhen

This is a video I made about the way I feel and I see Shenzhen. Shenzhen is an incredible city to live in, I’ve been here for five years now. It’s very green, it has trees everywhere, a lot of parks and greenery in every avenue and street. It’s also super modern, it feels like you are living in the future. The city is also very convenient to live in. But of course like every big metropolis in the world it could get a little bit noisy sometimes. One of the main issues that I have while living here was the language barrier, because here nobody speaks English, so everywhere I was going I was just using the translator on my phone, trying to communicate with people. Eventually I started learning some Mandarin, but that was kind of frustrating because Chinese is definitely not easy, I thought I knew how to say something and then they couldn’t get anything. And at the same time I was not understanding anything of what they were saying, it was a tough process. Right now I don’t really speak mandarin fluently but I manage basic language and I can communicate on a daily basis. Despite all these issues that I had with the language, I have to say that Chinese people are very friendly people, when you are living here as a foreigner they are always nice to you, at least that was my experience, and that made the difference to choose between staying or leaving. Yes, it’s definitely not easy to adapt to such a different culture, but after all it’s totally worth it. People is nice, food is delicious, the quality of life is really good and living in a city like Shenzhen in such an important time for China and the World makes you feel very special, like a main character of a movie, well that’s the way I feel. Less than half a century ago, the area Shenzhen occupies was a sleepy little market town occupied by 30,000 people. Today, its skyline bristles with skyscrapers and its streets heave with a population of over 12 million. Now it's one of China's biggest and most important cities. Shenzhen is adjacent to Hong Kong on the Mainland China border. It has flourished in this favorable location and become the Mainland's 'coolest city'. The city has been named one of China's most livable cities and one of the world's 25 top high tech development cities. Lonely Planet's list of top 10 cities to visit in 2019 ranks Shenzhen as second in the world! Tourists are recognizing Shenzhen as one of the best tourist destinations in the world. ★★Experience a Metropolis Atmosphere★★ When ascending a skyscraper, it might be hard to imagine that the view below used to be small villages. In this young, active, and creative city, you will never get bored of the stunning architecture, interesting theme parks, and restaurants offering gourmet food from all over the world. Shenzhen is also a sleepless city. At night, the view of the downtown area is possibly more beautiful than it is in the daytime. There are also countless bars and clubs for you to enjoy at night. ★Starting Point: ★ Ping An Finance Center 0:00 Intro 0:31 Walking around the Ping An Finance Center 7:07 Bike tour around the skyscrapers 23:00 Futian Railway Station ★★Guys, I'm looking forward to know how you feel about the video.★★ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. #Cycling #Shenzhen

This is Shenzhen, China. People are using various methods to help each other to escape from the sealed-off area. They climb over the high fence or escape through the narrow space at the bottom. Some have moved to other parts of the city, while others opt to return to their hometowns. Municipal Party Secretary of Beijing, Cai Qi, a close ally of Xi Jinping, said on June 27th that Beijing would continue to focus on regular epidemic prevention and control "in the next five years" and would not wave in its support for "dynamic zero-Covid" policy. This statement has terrified Beijing residents. It immediately spread on Chinese social media WeChat, where netizens highlighted the phrase "the next five years" and commented on it. One wrote, "This is even scarier than a ghost story. I was having my noon nap and it startled me awake." Have questions? Do you have something to share with us about China? We want to hear from you! What is is like to live in Shenzhen? We talk with a group of migrants to find out how the city has changed and what makes it so special. This documentary looks at how the city has changed and how foreigners and local migrants feeling about these changes. More about Shenzhen City: In 1980, Shenzhen was established as China's first special economic zone. Shenzhen's registered population as of 2017 was estimated at 12 million plus. However, the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee estimates that the population of Shenzhen is about 20 million, due to the large unregistered floating migrant population living in the city. Shenzhen was one of the fastest-growing cities in the world in the 1990's and the 2000's. And has been ranked second on the list of ‘top 10 cities to visit in 2019'. This has been one of the largest and most successful migrant experiments in the world and has lead the way in forging China's modern identity.

Shenzhen is a coastal city in the south of Guangdong Province. It is only 41 kilometers from Hong Kong. Benefiting from the superior location and China's reform and opening-up policy, Shenzhen has become a modern and international metropolis since 1978. Of its residents, over 95% are Han Chinese, with the city's dramatic growth fueled almost entirely by internal migration. Since the 1980s, Shenzhen has grown from a fishing town of 30,000 people into a world city and a center for manufacturing, specializing in electronics and telecommunications. Dubbed as "China Silicon", today's Shenzhen gathers more than 14,000 high-tech companies including Huawei, Lenovo and Tencent. It also becomes the innovation hub as a new generation of start-ups emerging, which makes it the most competitive and innovative city in China. The city also features contemporary buildings, such as the 600m-tall skyscraper Ping An International Finance Centre, and a number of amusement parks. ★Starting Point: ★ Commercial area of Nanshan District ★★Guys, I'm looking forward to know how you feel about the video.★★ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. #DrivingChina #Shenzhen
This film was filmed in the early morning after a night of revelry in the bar street. The garbage on the ground may cause you discomfort. I apologize for this! After a busy night, the bar street is prone to generate garbage. This phenomenon seems not uncommon in many cities around us. I really feel helpless about it. I hope this phenomenon can be alleviated in the future. Of course, this does not affect the overall image of Shenzhen. Shenzhen is still one of the most modern, beautiful and prosperous metropolises in China. People love the high-rise buildings, streets, grass and trees, and local customs of Shenzhen! I'm very sorry to disturb you with the above paragraph!
The Bay Glory is a giant cantilevered observation wheel located at Qianhai Bay, Shenzhen, China. It is operated by OCT and opened to the public on 18 April 2021. The structure has an overall height of 128-metre (420-foot) and the wheel has a diameter of 113.3-metre (372-foot). It has 28 gondolas, each gondola has a net area of 16.8㎡ and can seat a maximum of 25 passengers. Passengers can see the scenery of Qianhai Bay and Pearl River estuary Lingdingyang from the gondola. Honoring Shenzhen’s history as a regional market town, the master plan for Bao’an OCT OH BAY breathes new energy into China’s first economic zone. Laguarda.Low Architects' concept for the 128-acre park is a representation of growth, joining commerce with world-class cultural facilities. Located along with a three-quarter-mile waterfront site, the program features four primary zones — East and West Waterfront Retail Park; Urban Business Center; and Waterfront Cultural Park. Woven throughout this collective of mixed-uses is an ecological blanket – a flowing natural landscape that envelopes the site, connecting the zones via pedestrian paths. The West Waterfront Retail Park includes entertainment venues, leisure facilities, and a performing arts center all emanating from an expansive open-air plaza. Water serves as a key element of the scheme, separating various aquatic activities while allowing the public to explore the waterfront by boat. On the East bank, a four-story experiential retail park is linked by gently sloping ramps, escalators, and bridges layered beneath an expansive green roof ribbon. The traditional shopping experience is transformed with an abundance of natural light and choreographed circulation. 0:00 Intro 1:04 Around the big Ferris Wheel 10:31 The sightseeing walkway 15:23 The mall 21:13 The fountain lights show 28:05 Back to the mall 46:40 the street walking ★★ Guys, I'm looking forward to know what you get from the video.★★ ★★ City Walking Tours ★★ 🤍 If you enjoy my videos, please ★SUBSCRIBE★ my next walk, 🤍 Love and peace. #Shenzhen

In a recent TV interview, U.S. President Joe Biden declared that “the pandemic is over.” While in the West, countries are returning to a more normal lifestyle after more than 2 years of lockdowns and restrictions; in China, the communist regime continues to implement its “zero-COVID” policy without measuring too much the consequences on the population. ... #ChinaRevealed #ChinaNews
